The mission of Pea Ridge School District is to provide a safe environment, to increase Literacy and Math skills, learn communication skills through verbal and written means, and mold young people to be lifelong learners and productive members of society.
The first known school to operate at Pea Ridge was the Shelton Academy, opened in 1851 with a Professor Lockhart as teacher. Today the system includes a high school, junior high school, middle school, intermediate school and primary school.
